The lie that fermented the justificatory modern-age tonkin-like lie for the invasion of Iraq in March 2013 was told by a man whom the CIA nicknamed “CURVEBALL”. The WMD accusations were trumped up on a heap of lies that had been identified as such – a fact made known to MI-5, CIA-NSA and other secret services with an interest in the region by the German BND. The government under Fischer and Schröder refused to go to war and did not join the coalition of the willing because they KNEW the WMD charges were unproven and based on falsified claims by Iraqi chemical engineer Rafed Ahmed Alvan who sought and acquired refugee-status in Germany – based on these lies.

#Inequalities
For example, global inequalities in income in the twentieth century have increased by more than anything previously experienced, illustrated by the fact that the distance between the incomes of the richest and poorest country was about 3 to 1 in 1820, 35 to 1 in 1950, 44 to 1 in 1973, and 72 to 1 in 1992 (UNDP 2000: 6). [David Slater p.3]#inequality in the U.S
The top 20% of Americans captured 51% of before-tax household income in 2010, according to the Congressional Research Service. The bottom 20% got just 5% of the earnings.
In 2013 the average CEO made just under 300 times as much as the average worker, according to the Economic Policy Institute. 20% of American kids lived in poverty as of 2013, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. U.S. income inequality is the 4th-highest in the OECD. The only countries with more inequality are Turkey, Mexico and Chile, in that order.Washington Post: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2015/05/19/quiz-can-you-recognize-the-shape-of-inequality-in-america-most-cant/?tid=sm_tw

On #ScientificRigor and policy consultancy
“Policy arguments that draw on scientific findings will inevitably include scientists who have personal opinions and political associations. Those personal opinions often influence which areas we choose to research. The challenge for all scientists is to do rigorous, reviewable, transparent work that supports or rebuts existing theories — or advances a new theory — about how the world works. Such work should be done without the scientists working in fear of personal attacks. (…) Good scientific work does not depend on who did the science. Every scientific finding must be assessed by the quality and appropriateness of the data and methods, and their relevance to the theory being tested. Science depends on anonymous peer review precisely so that the reviewers are not biased by who the authors might be. The personalities and biographies of the scientists involved must be irrelevant to the quality and veracity of the scientific result. Similarly, science is tested by replication: given a finding, another scientist should be able to use the same data and method to reach the same result. Anonymous review and replication are fundamental to science precisely in order to distinguish scientific knowledge from the scientists who do the work.

Understanding #Terrorism, the U.S war on “it” and wars by subsequent governments on “it”.The US government has traditionally used four criteria in determining what counts as an act of terror:
1-Premeditation
2-Political motivation
3-Aimed at civilians
4-Carried out by sub-national groups, rather than the state or army
