It is conducted as a <a href=\"https:\/\/studypeace.info\/#home\">TRANSCEND Peace University course<\/a> (See ACT) in cooperation with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.galtung-institut.de\/en\/training\/sydney-university\/\">Sydney University&#8217;s Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies<\/a> (See PACS6922).<\/p>\n<p>As you\u2019ve made it thus far: let the games begin! Participants enrolled in Prof. Galtung&#8217;s course are asked to read and study them as companions to Prof. Galtung&#8217;s lecture on &#8220;Breaking The Cycle of Violence&#8221; above. Once through, please post your viewing and reading responses in our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.galtung-institut.de\/de\/network\/groups\/anything-galtung\/university-of-sydney-students-class-of-2016\/forum\/topic\/advanced-conflict-transformation-with-prof-johan-galtung\/\">digital interface<\/a> at your earliest convenience. In the keynote video above and the 2 papers attached, Prof. Johan Galtung expounds the core tenements of his approach to solution-indicative sociology for conflict transformation &#8211; hence his hashtag #SolveTheUnderlyingConflict.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How long should your reading and viewing response be?<\/strong><br \/>\nAs short, as you think is required to make your point. As long, as you deem required. What matters to us in this course is for us to get acquainted with your reflections on the approach Prof. Galtung will be imparting to you during this course. Feel free to include all poignant questions to Prof. Galtung on epistemology, theory, methodology and praxeology of Conflict Transformation. Prof. Galtung will answer them all. Keil Eggers and I will assist you in getting to the bottom of the material shared.<\/p>\n<p>We hope you enjoy studying Peace Studies with the man who in 1959 founded and headed the first faculty of Peace Studies ever to be opened at a University and has kept going and going all the way &#8211; and continues to this day &#8211; including this very course.
