Welcome to our community: How do you define PEACE?

Peace is a state free from violence, disturbance or unrest.

How did you find this community?

University of Sydney

Do you have any professional experience in the field of peace-research? peace-studies? peace-practice?

I wrote my undergraduate thesis on the failure of NGOs to report crimes against humanity during the Imidugudu program installation after the Rwandan genocide.

Are you at all familiar with concepts of Nonviolence and Conflict Transformation?

A little bit, but not enough to talk confidently!

What are your primary conceptual interests and concerns

I am interested in women and children's participation in peacebuilding and the role than major humanitarian NGOs can play in the peace process.

Languages

Fluent English, intermediate French and basic Korean.

CV

I have been working with World Vision for three years as a digital communications specialist, in the area of policy and advocacy. Prior to that I was an advocate with World Vision for maternal and child health.

In 2013, I represented Australia as a Youth Delegate to the World Trade Organisation.

I love travelling when I have the time, and read a lot of murder mysteries.
